USASF Professional Responsibility Code 2017-2018 7.0 | Page 21
The Disciplinary Committee chairman may, based on the recommendations of the committee, request recusal of a Board and/or committee member if
Board and/or committee member is directly involved in the specific case and/or provided documentation to the committee for evidence. The Chairman
and the Sergeant at Arms have the ultimate responsibility to recuse any member of the Board from the penalty phase if there is evidence or cause to
believe there may be an inference of impropriety or conflict of interest.
Penalty
The USASF Board of Directors will provide clear direction regarding the levying of penalties for noncompliance or unethical behavior including
but, not limited to, the use of fines and or restriction of privileges for various periods of time on cases that do not have previous precedent set. The
USASF Disciplinary/Compliance Committee will present the information and recommend appropriate action. Please note that this committee is
given only the authority to recommend penalty/action. The USASF Board of Directors can only levy penalty/action and cannot overturn the finding
of the committee.
