In days gone by, families living on the land
would often spend long days in the fields or
riding the trails on horseback. But it was always
the warm, inviting kitchen with its large, open
fireplace and wonderful cooking smells that
called them home.
It’s not so different today. Many families
still enjoy such a country lifestyle, with many
deliberately setting out to re-create a similar
home environment. And that’s exactly what the
owners of this new home in Sonoma County
wanted, says kitchen designer Neal Walden of
Walden & Company.
