ETSS PERSONNEL CHANGES
By Rob jeffery, ETSS Communications Secretary
Goodbyes can be hard sometimes, and
there’s always some tears shed when we
part ways. Last month, ETSS bid ‘adieu’ to
Executive Officer, Lt. Colonel Renee Lance.
Colonel Renee has been a great leader
and advocate for the songster ministry.
Under her leadership, we completed our
first international tour (Barbados, 2018)
and received our new designation as ‘Staff’
Songsters (though she claims she had
nothing to do with it). We will miss her
support, humor, and her many stories about
Newfoundland. Thank you for all you did for
ETSS. We wish you and Lt. Colonel Donald the
very best as you enter into retirement.
ETSS also said farewell to our pianist, Lily
T H E S A LVAT I O N A R M Y U S A E A S T
Finikin. Songster Leader Gavin Whitehouse
described Lily as the “rock on which our
singing has been based on for the past 6
years.” We’ll miss your fantastic playing Lily,
but also your smile, laughter, and the warm
presence you brought to the group. We pray
God’s blessing on your new ministry in the
Midlands Division (USA Central).
It’s not all goodbyes though.
We
welcomed 2nd Soprano Lieutenant Cristina
Spencer to the group from the NEOSA
Division. Looking forward to your ministry
with us.
We also welcomed Lt. Colonel Patricia
LaBossiere as the new Executive Officer
of ETSS. Lt. Colonel LaBossiere is a former
ETSS alumnus and we are beyond thrilled
to welcome her back in this new role. A
Salvation Army officer for 34 years, she has
enjoyed serving with her husband Jim as
Corps Officers in Massachusetts and in
Youth Ministry for 11 years. Following their
appointment as Divisional Leaders of the
Northern New England Division, Lt. Colonel
Pat was appointed to THQ as the Territorial
Secretary for Spiritual Life Development. The
LaBossieres have been married for 37 years
and have two grown sons. Pat is passionate
about prayer and loves the Word of God. She
enjoys kayaking, hiking, quilting, the beach
and spending time with family. Welcome to
ETSS! ■
