Real Estate Hector Hernandez left a larger real estate
firm to launch his boutique
Colorado Springs agency in
2008 to provide all his clients in the Pikes Peak region
with one-on-one, full-service
attention. Realizing military families face unique challenges, Hernandez created niche programs specifically
designed for military service men and women including
Inside Edge’s Military Appreciation Program that exceeds
the industry standards, E-contract capabilities, property
management services and special rental options.
“Our Military Appreciation Program is a cash-rebate program,” Hernandez said. “We issue a rebate at closing
and they can apply that toward closing costs, or buying
down their interest rate, which really helps them.”
The amount of Inside Edge’s Military Appreciation rebate
varies from $450 to near $2,000 depending on the sales
price, which is about 25% higher than what its competitors offer. Hernandez explained this is possible because Inside Edge’s overhead is much lower than larger
companies.
“I am not interested in having a large team of realtors and
creating a huge enterprise,” said Hernandez. “For me,
it is about the relationships.” Hernandez and his wife,
Roujette, who also an owner and director of the agency,
work with another full-time agent.
