Versatile Housing
Fixed terrace blocks allow no
space for extension or any
flexibility with space. People tend
to move house to accommodate
new family members. Financial
situations can alter over the
years and could lead to up
or downsizing a property.
Intergenerational communities
are becoming less apparent
as ghettoisation occurs. Thus,
communication is lacking. Space
restrictions in dwellings can be
lifted with a system that can allow
the client to consult with their
neighbours and property agent on
required or non required space.
Simple timber frame partitions
provide easy alteration options.
Stud walls can be moved and
added with little effort creating
extra rooms between properties.
Here is an example in Greenwich.
