Danceteria
The aim of my project is to
target the residents of Newham
specifically for their health. The
current research shows that
Newham residents have a lower
life expectancy and higher rate
of premature mortality. Focusing
specifically on the demographics
of young children, I aim target the
obesity and overweight percentage
found in children in Newham. With
such a high percentage a way to
tackle and engage in this problem
can be found through the use of a
social and fun activity. Proposing
an alternative way of providing
a healthy and positive output
of tackling obesity, not through
traditional exercise but through
dance, which allows for the range
of different age groups to feel able
to participate in the activities.
