The Limehouse
Spine
The site is located in Limehouse,
and project name is The
Limehouse Spine (formerly
known as Limehouse Curve).
This project is aimed at physically
disabled people as they are less
likely to participate in cultural
and sporting activities than
non-physically disabled people.
My main user is the wheelchair
user and people with mobility
problems, the design is a site
specifically for them.
The Limehouse Spine is a place
where wheelchair users can
participate in moderate physical
activity through farming, cooking,
selling, picking and giving tours.
The underlying philosphy of the
programs is based on four words,
assemble, grow, interchange and
unbend.
The objective of this project is
to design a healthy architectural
function, that will develop their
determination, will inspire,
encourage a healthy lifestyle and
create an inclusive environment
with a social support for
wheelchair users.
