Like most great ideas, Happy Juice Express started out of necessity. DJ B-Lord, a South Carolina-based DJ and radio personality, was starting to feel the strain of high bar tabs when he and his friends would enjoy a few drinks while he DJed at events.
In September 2008, he decided to take matters into his own hands and mixed up a red “happy juice” concoction to take with him to his gig that night at The Coop in Columbia, SC. He slapped a smiley face sticker on the side of a clear plastic bottle, and “Happy Juice” was born.
Immediately, DJ B-Lord’s “Happy Juice” became a favorite among SC party-goers, spawning drink specials at the bar and happiness for all. The buzz that started that night in Columbia spread statewide and developed into a cult-like following.
In 2012, DJ B-Lord met his business partners and developed a plan to bring Happy Juice Express to the masses.
