REVIEW: GHOSTLY ECHOES
Synopsis:
Jenny Cavanaugh, the ghostly lady of 926
Augur Lane, has enlisted the investigative
services of her fellow residents to solve a
decade-old murder—her own. Abigail Rook and
her eccentric employer, Detective R. F. Jackaby,
dive into the cold case, starting with a search
for Jenny’s fiancé, who went missing the night
she died. But when a new, gruesome murder
closely mirrors the events of ten years prior,
Abigail and Jackaby realize that Jenny’s case
isn’t so cold after all, and her killer may be far
more dangerous than they suspected.
Fantasy and folklore mix with mad science as
Abigail’s race to unravel the mystery leads her
across the cold cobblestones of nineteenth-
century New England, down to the mythical
underworld, and deep into her colleagues’ grim
histories to battle the most deadly foe she has
ever faced.

Review:
Ghostly Echoes by William Ritter is a daring
yet mysterious novel. I loved how it lured my
deep into the suspicious death of the ghost,
Jenny. Jenny lost her loved one ten years ago.
He disappeared without a trace. Then, there’s
the why and who parts to her own death case.
No one knew who killed her. This book explores
that case. The case may lead them, Jenny and
her friends, deeper into trouble. Danger,
mystery, and a bit of romance leap on every
page. It was entertaining to follow. I cannot wait
to read the next book. The plot was clean but
fun. It still held a dark and eerie vibe but nothing
like a Stephen King novel. Overall, I do
recommend this to all YA, paranormal, and cozy
mystery readers.
