I can hardly believe another year is almost over, but
when I see the flowers blooming and feel the
warmer sun, I realise that it actually is. Because,
here in sunny SA warmer weather means Summer
and Summer means the end of the year. It’s time to
book that end of year holiday or make sure you’ve
got your gym routine down pat in preparation for
long, lazy days in the sun and on the beach. We’re
inspired and energised by the new
season and the glorious flowers it
brings and this month our intrepid
traveller Shaina Herman takes us
on a floral journey through some
of the most beautiful gardens on
earth. (Pg.38-43) We also venture
into one of our favourite countries,
Italy also known as Lo Stivale for
its uncanny resemblance to a boot
and Naz Moosa tells of one of her
experiences in the much loved destination. (Pg. 46-51) We add more
colour with our featured personality and fashion
designer, Laduma Ngxokolo, whose Xhosa inspired
designswith their vibrant colours and textures have
impressed internationally. (Pg. 18-19)

And of course, as our days become longer and
warmer, the nightlife comes a-calling, our friend in
fashion, Tracey shows us how to turn a simple
daytime look into night time vavavoom. (Pg. 28-29)
