Was there anyone
who inspired you on
your journey to
success, who was it:
From a personal point
of view, my parents
were central. It is
driving my need to live
a better life than what
we had. I grew up
knowing that it had to
get better and I was determined
to stop at nothing to get there.
Nando’s founder Robbie Brozin,
Ex Nando’s CEO Kevin Utian and
SVP of MTV Alex Okosi; they
instilled in me a sense of the
need to showcase African
excellence to the world, to
embrace the way we do things
and drive inspiration in the work
we do. They have had a huge
influence in terms of my
approach to business and to
life.
Having achieved so much
already, what is the next step
for you, where will the next five
years see you: I appreciate the
journey thus far and as cheesy
as it sounds, to me this is still
the beginning of a longer
journey ahead. I am however
humbled by every moment and
step that led me to this point
and the recognition along the
way.
Any advice for young
entrepreneurs: There is so
much to share but the “one
thing” would be to make sure
that as they build their business,
it is based on a bigger vision
that includes the success and
progress of each and every
person who works in that
business. To build a business
with meaning, it needs to
literally mean more than a
salary to those who work with
you.
