Excitement has been through the roof for this album. "The King & I" combines the sweet & sultry sounds of Faith Evans with the street-laced rhymes of The Notorious B.I.G., The album has been anticipated for quite some time, with Faith having spoke on the possibility of release before, but nothing materialized until this year. Honestly, it was quite appropriate, givern the fact this year marks the 20th anniversary of his death.

"The King & I" takes previously release lyrics from the hip-hop giant to formulate new tracks with Evans, and features a bevy of artists previously associated with the rapper, including Snoop Dogg, The Lox, Lil' Kim, 112, Lil' Cease, and Busta Rhymes. B.I.G.'s mom, Voletta Wallace, appears on two tracks with commentary about when he and Faith first married and she and Faith first met.

The "King & I" make for a great listen. Typically, most are at the point of letting the artists rest and not releasing new material. Fans even seems a bit upset and over it when the "Duets" album dropped some years back; yet, it suddenly seems more than OK because it's Faith releasing it. The album play rather icely through, and Evans worked pretty hard at blending to the point that each collaboration sounds genuine.

Evans sounds better than ever, and glides effortlessly through each track. "The King & I" is available now via all online retailers.
