T
hrough reality shows like VH1's Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, music fans have gained the
opportunity of learning about some of entertainment's most powerful figures. Contrary
to popular belief, they're not all musicians, and many have a host of amazing ventures
going on outside of the show. The whole idea, "in my mind", is that through opportunities like these shows, one should be able to maximixe it in a way that their brands grows exponentially. With that thought, we spotlight Ms. Sina Bina, who many have gotten to know from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. As a mom to two of Yung Joc's children, the common misconception has been that Sina is some fly-by-night who is in it for what she can get, and that basically, her life is Love & Hip Hop. If you've searched for her online, and I know many have, you know there's not much out there, and for good reason. Sina has been very careful to keep herself out of the blogs, and basically away from much of the drama that plagues the industry today. Ultimately, she has been protecting her brand. That, of course, is one of the very things that has made her many business ventures thrive, and allowed her to excel as a superb entrepreneur. From our conversation, you'll see that she has dabbled in many different arenas that all center around the industry, and she's got a lot more under her belt than the average would think. Sina has truly mastered the art of entrepreneurship, first starting by pursuing her passion of Nursing. Since earning her degree some years ago, she has taken that love and allowed it to grow in many directions, thus creating new passions along the way. We're excited to connect with Ms. Sina Bina for this exclusive, Brand Connoisseur.
U.G. Digital Mag: This is such an amazing opportunity, and I’m beyond excited to connect. I'm finally at the point where I truly follow the show, and admittedly, it took me a long time to get there [laughing]. We’ll talk about that more, but I really love your personality, and I love the things that you have going on. We’ll touch on your entrepreneurial style for sure. I think you’re really dope, so thank you.
Ms. Sina Bina: Absolutely!
U.G. Digital Mag: Obviously, there’s a lot of people who know you because of Love & Hip-Hop, so it makes sense to start off there. Start by talking about the show and the new season. Clearly, from the teaser, the new season is pretty heated to say the least.
Ms. Sina Bina: Yes, it is [laughing]. It’s a lot of twists and turns in there, so buckle up y’all seat belts, as you've seen from the first episode.
U.G. Digital Mag: It’s crazy because I work so much, and actually I work in healthcare as well, so that's something we'll chat about. I DVR a lot of the shows, or either watch on my iPad, and it was just like, Oh my god. This is crazy already. Talk about this season and what’s happening, and where you fit back in?
Ms. Sina Bina: Well it’s actually kinda crazy be cause I started out as not being a cast member, but I’m so intertwined with each cast member that I was thrown into a few incidents. Of course, me having kids with Joc, a personal friendship with Karlie Redd, a personal friendship with newcomer Treasure P, being friends with Stevie and Joseline, and Tommie, it was only a matter of time before I was thrown into their mess.
U.G. Digital Mag: It makes sense though.
Ms. Sina Sina: Starting out, I wasn’t a cast member, but as the story started building, it pulled me back in.
