U.G. Digital Mag: Thank you so much for this opportunity man. Just to start right off, I really appreciate the way you’re coming. I’ve looked at music for so long, and a lot of artists, and just being honest, I haven’t played an album in a long time that I can play from start to finish. It’s funny because I was listening this morning, and you said a line in one of your tracks, “good music ain’t nothin without a budget, but …” That’s simple but one of the hardest lines I’ve heard in a while. We don’t see artists coming from your perspective often anymore. It’s a lot of artists out here simply put who are basically on some fuck-shit, and they put out anything.

Jean D’eau: It ain’t about the music no more man…

Jean D’eau: It ain’t about the music no more man…

U.G. Digital Mag: I’ve been looking at it for a while man, and you have so many people stuck on the nineties and what was going on musically back then, because back in the day, people put a lot into it. It took a lot more to get out here, whereas today, you can just come with anything.

Jean D’eau: Thats right.

U.G. Digital Mag: You’re really getting things off the ground. We know you did a bid. What kept you motivated to do this after ten years of sitting on a dream and not being able to move like you want?

Jean D’eau: I just got tunnel vision. I know talent-wise what I can bring to the game. I just have to keep pushing until I make it happen. I didn’t let nothing stop my momentum. I been through ups and downs, and I’m getting a pretty solid footing. I just have to keep my foot on the gas.

U.G. Digital Mag: How difficult was it to get things pushing?

Jean D’eau: I mean, it’s been really hard. I just started getting a little buzz and recognition after being on the road with Ralo.
