the strength of the album's lead single, "You Used to Love Me". It's interesting that according to Chucky Thompson, who offered his production skills throughout much of "Faith", the track was originally meant for labelmates Total. Nevertheless, Faith ended up recording the track, and it became her lead single. Immediately striking a chord with fans, "You Used to Love Me" ultimately peaked at number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100. At the close of the year, the single was still maintaining at number 79 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also peaked at number 4 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Not bad at all for a debut single. Undoubtedly, it set things in high gear for the remainder of the album, and expectations were high!
Within 2 months, Evans followed up that single with 'Soon As I Get Home", another soon-to-be classic that would further change the current dynamic of R&B. The sound was reminiscent of things we had heard from groups like Guy, yet, Evans had no problem with making it all her own. Produced by Chucky Thompson and Sean Puffy Combs, Evans once again had an instant hit on her hands. The single was so successful that a remix was crafted, and this time featured Aaron Hall on vocals, and with production this time being handled by Hitman Stevie J and Chad Elliott! It rose to number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, and number 3 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Song Chart.
