Interview by: Lorans R. Jones

Lorans R. Jones: Both of you are from Northeast Ohio. Is it safe to assume Cavs, Browns, Indians?

Jerrell Hodge: Safe. Hometown boy.

Lorans R. Jones: If you had the chance to get Lebron back, would you take him?

Darnell Pettis: I mean, in my opinion, if you want to make more money, go where the money is. I mean, but the way he left, he could of did it better. But I'll get him back because he can do damage. I'd love to see somebody get dunked on.

Lorans R. Jones: Now both of you had different starts in your career. One of you started in boxing, and the other in wrestling. If MMA did not exist, what other sport do you see yourself doing?

Darnell Pettis: I'd definitely be in boxing, but I still want to play football til this day. When I become a great fighter, I might try out for the Browns one day. You know, I might be on the kick off team.

Jerrell Hodge: Me, if MMA wasn't around, I probably would have hooked up with him, and just did straight boxing. Ask him to teach me some more boxing.

Lorans R. Jones: When you guys are training, what do you think works the best for you in terms of exercise, particular equipment? What helps you out the most.

Darnell Pettis: With me, I always like football workouts because you can get a different feel. With everything, you get ladder drills, you work on speed and agility, which is all a part of our fighting life. You have to be able to evade and move around certiain punches and kicks. I would say that aspect I would take to my MMA training.

Jerrell Hodge: I just love coming up here beating on other people (laughing), coming up here working with different guys. We go to different gyms. On Fridays, we have open spars, so other guys from other gyms come up. Some people say it's not good because you get to see things from your opponents, but I like it.

Lorans R. Jones: Always fun. Now, there's been a lot of talk because we had the summer olympics. There's been talk that maybe one day, MMA would go to the olympics. What would your approach be? Would you train any different, or would you wait until the moment?
