African American girls, and one Caucasian girl. They’re in this dorm, and a number of things happen. It was written by myself and directed by Ashley A Williams who was just in Frat Brothers with Lil Romeo. Also a movie called ‘Dumb Shit’. It’s like a new-day Friday. Three guys are rappers and they get their first deal. They’re not really looking to do anything responsible in terms of their money. They spend all of their money, but then never make another hit. It chronicles them spending a few days to try and get their rent money together. It’s hilarious. I play a female pimp. That’s coming soon. The director, who has also managed me, just let me know it’s edited and coming soon. If you like Bad Girls Club, there are a lot of bad girls in there. Also a couple of Love & Hip Hop stars too.

I also have another movie called ‘The label’. It’s kinda like ‘The office’, but with black people. I think that movie is going to change the game. It’s not shot like a regular movie. It’s done like a reality show. I don’t want to give too much away. I haven’t really gotten the OK, and there are a lot of big people involved.

I’m working on another movie called ‘My Love & Hip Hop’. Most movies are about the guy trying to get into the rap game, and then the last 5 minutes shows that he made it. I play the wife of the main character, played by Kev-O. We’re well off since he’s successful in the game. It’s like the life when you get in the rap game – groupies, etc. It’s about all the things that come with success as a rapper with a family. He’s trying to keep his wife while maintaining his image. This is Paula Jai Parker’s directorial debut.

I’m also writing a story about my life. I’ll start pre-production soon, and then start casting.

Speaking of which, I also do casting. I’m actually casting tomorrow for an award-winning director with a film called ‘Apolcalypse: The Light”. It’s a short film being turned into a feature. It’s like an updated version of ‘Walking Dead’. The campaign will be on kickstarter. I’ll be posting about that on my twitter and instagram. In a couple of weeks, we’ll shoot a short to make some money. So I have some things in the works. Nothing with my man Morris Chestnut yet (laughing)….

Urban Grandstand: Any final comments at all?

Denisha Hardeman: Wow, I think I talked too much (laughing). If you have a dream, do it. Follow it. Trust yourself and don’t give up. Things happen in it’s own time. I had to learn patience. It all happens for a reason ands in it’s own time. Networking is the number one thing in the world. I network very well. It will get you far. I’m working on a pilot that came about because of me networking. Those are the relationships I have. Do what you love. If you have a dream, follow it. I’ve slept in my car, and gone days without eating to live my dream. Now things are looking up. I’m doing it everyday, and I love it. I wouldn’t change it for the world. Don’t ever let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do. They’re just haters, and actually they really love you. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t take the time to hate on you. That’s just life. I can’t say that enough. I just want people to follow my journey. I always remember the people who help me. I have called in friends for movies, just because they have helped me. I’m very humble. We can take this journey together. I just like to encourage people. You just have to be patient. Patience is a virtue. A lot of people give up right before GOD is about to help. Follow your heart, and thank GOD everyday.
