Australia is experiencing a housing crisis and a teacher shortage . Little is known about the systemic effects of housing on the education workforce . However , where workers live affects where they can work , and longer commutes harm well-being and productivity .
Under the leadership of Professor Scott Eacott , the HATS team has developed a world-first dashboard linking housing and workforce data . The team is committed to developing tools and analysis for government , stakeholders , systems , and educators to understand better how best to meet legal , social , and cultural expectations in providing education to citizens .
