The final event in our 2024 Futures Expo Series reflects UNSW ’ s commitment to transforming urban environments , with a focus on housing affordability , sustainability and urban connectivity .
With UNSW named Australia ’ s # 1 university for startups and spinouts for the third consecutive year and Australia ’ s most Entrepreneurial university , this expo showcases the power of research-driven innovation with commercial potential .
Among the many standout activities exhibited , Value Australia is reshaping property valuation with its Automated Valuation Model ( AVM ). Working in collaboration with FrontierSI and PEXA , this tool leverages AI and enriched property data to provide an interactive , reliable view of economic value and development potential that will inform decision-making in real estate .
Spinout , Footpath . ai , is creating a Google Maps for footpaths , using human-centred design to support the development of inclusive , safe , and accessible cities .
Silicon Quantum Computing is partnering with Transport for NSW to improve urban traffic flow with quantum computing . This pioneering collaboration optimises traffic management and promotes efficient mobility across Sydney .
Arch _ Manu ’ s BioShelter and Living Seawalls exemplify our dedication to urban ecology . These projects install artificial seawalls designed to enhance biodiversity , promote inner-city harbour ecosystems , and mitigate the effects of climate change on coastal areas .
