In 2012, Tamiika opened Bluegrass Hair Boutique. As she did due diligence and
leveraged her years of cosmetology expertise to work on her hair products – Bluegrass
Botanicals™. Tamiika was very selective on the natural and organic ingredients that she
wanted to include in her products. Making a personal and business decision, she
invested $300, a detailed plan mixed with pure love and determination Bluegrass
Botanicals TM was created on her ipad.
The product line provides consumers with an affordable, vegan-friendly alternative to
hair care. The line consist of Sulfate-Free Shampoos, Conditioners, Pomades, and Oil.
Bluegrass Botanicals TM is currently handcrafted and manufactured by Bluegrass Hair
Boutique, LLC in Maryland.
Talk about a family business, her 11 year old son and 10 year old daughter are fortunate
enough to experience the walks of an entreprenuer as their mother has them right by
her side assisting and lending helping hands at various venues etc. Tamiika takes pride
in spending quality time with her children and educating them while she continues to
have an active role in the community. Throughout the year, you will nd her at various
events and venues within the D.C, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area promoting her
hair product line, educating, mentoring the youth and interacting with the community,
as she loves to do.
