Bern Nadette Stanis & Pam Chapman- to Headline the- Save Our Sisters Women’ s Empowerment Summit

On Saturday, August 11, 2018, the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis will host its first Save Our Sisters Women’ s Empowerment Summit at the Urban Expo. The Women’ s Empowerment Summit will be the Ultimate One-day power packed professional and personal development event for women that will feature national speakers sharing inspirational stories and workshops on the issues that matter most to women, including leadership, women’ s overall health, financial wealth entrepreneurship and more. It will also be a time for pampering and relationship building.
The Opening Plenary Speaker is Pam Chatman, CEO and Founder of P. Chatman Mentoring, a consultant and training organization and Boss Lady PChat Business Coaching Outreach, which fosters teaching to women and girls to love themselves first. Chapman has also recently become the face and motivational speaker for a National Movement called Strong Woman. This movement empowers women to know their worth and find their passion in life to reach their dream. Raised in the Mississippi Delta city of Shaw in Bolivar County, Pam never forgets her roots and the things that have driven her to do what she has done so far in her life.
The Luncheon Keynote Speaker is BernNadette Stanis, best known as the quick witted, sexy savvy and original“ It” girl, Thelma Evans, from the groundbreaking, first African American sitcom,“ Good Times.” Since Good Times, she’ s still acting, having appeared in the second season of the Adult Swim comedy series“ Black Jesus” and in the 2016 movie“ 36-Hour Layover.” But Stanis has embraced another role, that of an Alzheimer’ s advocate. She founded a nonprofit called Remembering The Good Times Foundation to raise awareness about dementia, something that her mother Eula Stanislaus died from in 2011. Stanis travels the country and shares her story of caring for her mother. Stanis recently published“ The Last Night: A
Caregiver’ s Journey’’ about the disease’ s impact on her life. Stanis is also the author of Situations 101 Finances and BernNadette Stanis Situations 101 Relationships.
