Young Professionals as they hosted the official
Young Professional close out party for our 2017
National Conference which was held in place of
our annual gala that is sponsored by Regional
Business Counsel, Enterprise Bank and
Holdings and US Bank continued their support
of the Urban Renaissance Gala along with
other ULYP-STL programs. Through membership
dues and hosting a successful National
Conference party, ULYP-STL generated
approximately $7,500 for the Urban League of
Metropolitan St. Louis.
Young Professionals continued to
serve.
In 2017 ULYP-STL donated 1,000 hours in March
to the region, during its annual community
service blitz, Young Blacks Give Back. Our
theme was “R.I.S.E.” (Reclaim. Invest. and Stay.
Empowered).
Urban League Young Professionals also
supported the Affiliate by volunteering at
Agency’s Special Events including the Whitney
M. Young Society, the Salute to Women in
Leadership and the Annual Dinner Meeting.
Several Young Professionals joined forces with
the affiliate in encouraging school attendance at
the Annual Back to School Extravaganza during
the 2017 Urban League National Convention
here in St. Louis. Young Professionals
volunteered along with supporting Affiliate
programs throughout the day. The Urban League
National conference the ULYP-STL encouraged
other young professionals in town to volunteer
their time. Participants were able to see
first-hand St. Louis outreach operations through
various partnerships and activities with local and
state wide businesses.
ULYP-STL also assisted with the Annual Urban
League Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway and
closed the year with the Annual Holiday Party
Toy Drive. Urban League Young
Professionals of Metropolitan St. Louis enjoyed
a Holiday Networking Party along with other
professionals for an evening having a good time
while giving back. Bags of toys were donated
to the Affiliate from the annual networking with
a purpose holiday party. Young Professionals
donated over 1,600 volunteer hours to the
Affiliate in support of early childhood, youth
development, and basic needs programs.
