The Urban Expo is truly a one of a kind free event that provides a hiring fair, Back to School Supply Giveaway, new shoes for the entire family, health fair, a Save Our Sisters Women’s Empowerment Summit courtesy of the Coca-Cola Foundation, literary corner, food samples, live entertainment featuring a concert by Fred Hammond on Sunday, August 12, workshops, haircuts and more. For the Save Our Sisters - Women’s Empowerment Summit we are excited to host Actress BernNadette Stanis and Television Personality Pam Chapman as our luncheon and plenary session speakers. On August 11 and 12 Workshop/ Forum: The From Protest to Policy and Programs will feature our local activists addressing the current civil rights issues which are plaguing our community.
