Community
ere are many benefits to forming partnerships with other urban farmers and
established community projects. By building a network and joining forces with both
individuals and groups, you can expand your business and funding opportunities,
increase access to organic food for local consumers, and recruit volunteers for your
project. Making connections in the community also gives you an opportunity to
educate people about your ideas and practices and expand your own knowledge about
urban agriculture. If you are having difficulty with establishing your project, it is
especially important to reach out to people who have already successfully created
something similar to your vision. Identify the "friendlies"!
