5 . The Upgrade Process
CIRO membership upgrade is an iterative process , so applicants are given unlimited opportunities to build and refine applications .
Below is an overview of the CIRO Membership Upgrade process :

• Login to the CIRO Members Portal www . ciromembers . org and download the Upgrade Guidance Pack

• Choose the level which is the right fit for you

• Upload your annotated CV
• Complete the relevant POD section summary
• Add any supporting documents ( max . of 4 )

• Submit your application

• The CIRO membership team review your application for completeness ( is your CV annotated , have you provided personal examples etc .)

• Incomplete applications will be returned with observations
• Complete applications will be forwarded for Membership Panel review

• The Membership Standards Panel review applications ( this takes place 5 times / year )

• The CIRO membership team contact you with feedback from the Panel revew
• You may be asked for clarification / additonal information
• On final successful review upgrades will be awarded

• On successful review , upgrade fees are paid , a digital copy of your membership certificate is made available to you , and you can use your new post nominals
