Food Connect (Food Recovery Program)
Provides perishable food to families in an effort to increase Revelstoke’s food security and
decrease our environmental impact of throwing out food in the garbage. Surplus foods (close to or
at its best before date, overstocked, mislabeled, cosmetically unappealing) are donated from food
retailers and farms. Once assessed for safety, these foods are directed through our programs and
our community agencies that provide meals and food for community members.
Families can access Food Connect through our family support programs, through referral from our
organization, or on our public pickup days:
Mondays- 11:00-12:30 pm: Only available to PACT participants
Tuesdays- 11:00-1:00 pm: Only available to B & B participants
Wednesdays- 12:00-1 pm: Public Food Pickup for Families with children and Seniors
