T20 CRICKET WORLD CUP
Australia-They are coming right off some brilliant form after recent victories over England and South Africa. David Warner will be key for them as he leads an impressive batting line; Brad Hodge also being pivotal in their chances for success success.
India-Unlike the Aussie’s, India have hit some poor form with losses to Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the Asia cup recently however the teams batting line up could make up for the pretty average bowling. M.S. Dhoni will be returning to the squad which will give them a huge boost for the upcoming tournament.
New Zealand-They are not predicted to do well in the tournament; having one of crickets smaller nations; however it would be foolish to rule them out as they have a decent squad this year. Also the fantastic form of Brendon McCullum may give them the opportunity to carve out a few good results.
Pakistan-After a shaky start to the Asia Cup, Pakistan managed to pick up some good form and qualify for the final before being beaten by Sri Lanka to the title. Whilst they may be outsiders for the tournament, they always seem to do well in this competition. If Hafeez and the rest of the bowlers can put the heavy Sri Lankan domination behind them then who knows where they could finish.
South Africa-The team have a poor track record in this competition; only making it out of the Super 8 stage once before. The two recent losses to Australia will also be fresh in the minds of the Proteas and no one really expects them to be title contenders.
