READING REVIEW

The first headliners revealed were American rock group Blink 182. 2014 will be the fourth time Blink 182 have played at Reading. They've promised to play some new music, but also have an array of classics to play too, like 'All the Small Things'.

Described as the biggest British band of the last decade, and rightly so as all five of their albums have topped the charts upon release. The Sheffield band have played at Reading and Leeds 3 times before, and headlined in 2009.

"We've got a lot of history with the festival," said Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders. " It's the first festival I ever went to – we all went together as kids … We were 15 or 16 and it was a big deal going to a festival like that on your own."

The final headlining has yet to be announced for the Reading and Leeds Festival, but the most rumoured contender seems to be QOTSA.

Their most recent album, Like Clockwork.., reached number 2 in the UK and topped the charts in the US. They have also previously played at Reading five times before.
