Hello World and thanks for stopping by to check out the corner. This edition of Up & Rising is a special edition because it is our 1st edition. I know some of you remember Pyramid Entertainment Magazine; well we have grown our distribution database and created Up & Rising Magazine.
I had been asked by so many people when the magazine is going to be coming back. I really was apprehensive to do it because of the work it takes. Then one day, someone I really admire reminded me of my dedication and love for the underground artists and aspiring talent that exists but gets overlooked by many because they don’t have then names of major corporations or well-known artists attached to them.
When I thought about it, I realized that the blood sweat and tears (literally) that gets poured into developing and delivering a magazine like this is well worth it if I can give an avenue of exposure to those who spend their last dime to make a demo. Or to the model that doesn’t have the direction she needs to be noticed. Or the group that the major labels won’t recognize because they weren’t recommended by a multi-million dollar celebrity.
