This is the sequel to the hit Breakin'. It focuses on 3 friends and how a community overcome through the power of dance come together to save a neighborhood community center.

There you have it, friends; my 3 Picks for this edition of Up & Rising Magazine. They are great movies that teach you lessons They teach you lessions about life, motivation, determination, friendship, family and living and deal with hard time. Great movies for the whole family. Hello, Readers. Well, I took a spin of the Movie Wheel and what do you know! It landed on the Best of the 80's! So here they are, my top 3 choice movie picks.

1. Krush Groove

This 1985 film takes place in NYC and is based on the early days of Hip-Hop and the beginnings of Def Jam & Producer Russell Simmons. It stars some amazing Hop-Hop artists and pioneers like The Fat Boys, Kurtis Blow, Run-DMC, and many more. All Hip-Hop fans and artists should see this film.

2. Beat Street

This 1984 film is set in the Bronx, the birthplace of Hip-Hop. It's about 2 brothers and their friends who have an art and passion for DJing, Break Dancing and Graffiti. It also show how they deal with hard times growing up in NYC and coping with a difficult loss.
