Updates to luxury lakeside cabins, new dining experiences and year-round amenities, like pools and saunas, are also happening.
The resort’ s golf courses have undergone an 18-million-dollar expansion and renovation transformation. Minnesota golf legend Tom Lehman helped expand and reimagine the entire golf complex. The three golf courses are:
Nice 9 A 9-hole par three short course. Lehman 18
An 18-hole golf course that is Tom Lehman’ signature 7,400-yard championship golf course. The course moves through a 1,000-acre sanctuary featuring stacked sod bunkers while working its way around a lake and natural wetlands.
Dutch 27
A 27-hole golf course with three rotating nines: red, white and blue. Each golf course is designed with wider fairways, new greens, and strategic bunkers. Red-to-White is now the tournament course for the CRMC Championship( PGA Tour Americas Tournament).
There is a full-service clubhouse. Jack Wawro, director of golf at Cragun’ s, called the legacy courses,“ A golfer’ s paradise in the heart of Minnesota.”
“ My favorite thing about this golf course right now is you have 45 holes of championship golf plus the nine-hole par three. Our guests are able to play four 18-hole combinations out of one location,” Wawro said.
The property’ s 40 acres offers 206 lodge-style rooms and 65 cabins, each with a lakeside view. Eight of the cabins are on the golf course.“ Everybody gets the benefit of seeing the lake,” said Cragun’ s Resort’ s General Manager Eric Peterson.
“ A full-service marina with dock space enables people to fish, waterski, go tubing and rent watercraft. We have pontoons, speed boats, paddle boats, paddle boards, canoes and kayaks available. If you have your own boat, you can bring it on vacation and tie it up to the dock.”
The resort’ s marina fleet recently expanded with eight new pontoons, six jet skis and three speedboats.
The Gull Lake Cruise Boat holds over 100 people for dinner cruises or Sunday brunch cruises. The boats can also be rented for weddings, corporate or association groups.
The resort features five restaurants and lounges with scenic views and a large sundeck overlooking Gull Lake. The resort’ s two beaches— South Beach and North Beach— have two different vibes. South Beach is a 1,500-foot sand
