MLS graduates may apply to International Certification Examination for ASCPi and AAB. The latter is offered through the College of Health Sciences at the University of Sharjah. Graduates may choose to take graduate training and pursue a career in biomedical research.
Bachelor of Science in Medical Diagnostic Imaging( MDI)
Students are introduced to an array of practical and academic courses on the safe use of imaging techniques. Students are trained to produce the highest quality of medical diagnostic images in the fields of radiology, ultrasound( US), Magnetic Resonance Imaging( MRI), Computerized Tomography( CT), and Nuclear Medicine( NM), in addition to therapeutic interventional radiology. The program provides training in the latest digital systems and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems( PACS), which are gradually replacing conventional films worldwide. Career opportunities include working in Medical Diagnostic Imaging departments in hospitals and clinics, health education, scientific research, and health management.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing( NSG)
The Department of Nursing offers two streams in its BSc program: A four-year basic program; and a two-year bridging / postdiploma program for diploma nursing graduates. Graduates from both streams are granted a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. As a student, you will learn to work in a variety of healthcare settings with individuals, families and communities.

You will acquire knowledge and skills related to health promotion, health maintenance, prevention of illness, and nursing care for patients and families during wellness and illness, recovery and rehabilitation. Career opportunities in the nursing field are broad in the UAE and worldwide and include working at primary health care centers and hospitals, school health clinics, and in areas of health education, and scientific research.
Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration( HSA)
This program presents a wide range of challenging careers as healthcare administrators in hospitals and delivery units, and at healthcare institutions dealing with quality health assurance, organizational matters, human resources and financial challenges, as well as ethical decisionmaking authorities. Completion of this program will provide the student with many employment opportunities, in addition to further opportunities for advanced studies in the field. Careers include work at health centers and hospitals, specialized clinics, sports medicine centers, rehabilitation centers, or in the areas of medical services marketing, health statistics, health registration, public relations and patient service.
Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy( PT)
The students learn to work with individuals and families during illness and recovery independently and collaboratively in health care teams in hospitals and other settings, and provide education to the public to promote health and avoid illness and injury. The graduate is qualified to provide preventative and therapeutic services aimed at restoring function

and preventing disability arising from disease, trauma or injury. The BSc Degree in Physiotherapy offers students career opportunities in health care settings as well as advanced studies and degrees. Graduates could practice in health centers and hospitals, specialized clinics, sports and fitness centers, rehabilitation centers, and elderly and special needs care units.
Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health( EH)
This program graduates environmental health professionals equipped with an understanding of how the environment impacts health and the ability to assess environmental determinants. The student will learn to develop and modify plans that will help to protect the environment. Careers include work at health centers and hospitals, oil and gas companies, factories, municipalities, environmental institutions, ports and airports.
Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics( CN & D)
This program prepares qualified clinical nutritionists. Changes in lifestyle and in the trends of today’ s health make this specialization one of the most in demand. Clinical nutritionists play an active role in achieving better health in the community. Career opportunities include working in hospitals, schools, health centers, primary health care departments and related sectors.
