Shaping the future Stepping up Cyber Security Research Our Cyber Security Interdisciplinary Research Centre has been set up to help meet the demand for trained graduates who can help organisations stay one step ahead of hackers as information channels and networks become increasingly complex. A new cancer treatment – from a flower Our researchers carried out biochemical analysis on the hair of a young girl buried 500 years ago near the summit of the Volcán Llullaillaco on the Chile/ Argentina border to reveal that she had been sedated with drugs and alcohol in the months leading up to her death. Our researchers are developing a new cancer treatment with the potential to destroy many cancer tumours using naturally occurring chemicals from the British autumn-flowering crocus.
