100 INNOVATIONS AND CAPABILITIES

AMPLIFY SOCIAL IMPACT ONLINE

UNSW RESEARCH
Australian ' s spend $ 510 billion on social purpose programs and initiatives, yet we often don’ t know if they are effective. The for purpose and charity sectors are limited by resources, technical capacity and access to evidencebacked outcome measures.
The vision of Amplify Social Impact Online( Amplify Online) is to improve access to evidence-based decision making for as many of the 52,000 registered charities in Australia as possible. Amplify Online is a world-first tech solution with two components. The first is an Indicator Engine( completed and launched) that enables organisations to ask the right questions, in the right way, to the right people. The engine also allows them to collect this data easily, securely and flexibly.
The second component is Yardstick( under development). It will provide auto-analysis of an organisation’ s impact that is meaningful, relevant and benchmarked against national data. The organisation is looking for funding partners to help realise its full potential and achieve social impact at scale – in Australia and beyond.
> Secured major investment from UNSW and philanthropic partners.
> Built a comprehensive indicator bank of over 500 evidence-based indicators rated for quality and usability in the for-purpose sector.
> Built and launched Indicator Engine( phase 1) in March 2022, and over 370 forpurpose organisations have registered.
> Amplify Online awarded the Technology Innovator of the Year 2022 at the National Not for Profit Technology Awards. • 33
