Climate change urgency , energy security concerns and soaring prices are driving a global transformation from fossil fuels to sustainable renewable sources of energy . Making this critical switch will lead to a better greener , decarbonised world for all along with a wealth of opportunities for technological leadership , governance and economic gains . Taking leadership in this space , the DGFI team create practical innovations that help both local manufacturers and global decarbonisation efforts .
They deliver impact through our expertise in facilitating collaboration and partnerships between UNSW and industry leaders and government . They also assist in commercialisation and patents , highlight key contributors through awards , and consult and provide thought leadership on all things future grid . Educating the community is an equally important factor in achieving impact and DGFI provides programs and events for children and the broader community to inspire and support people through energy transition .
