Problem
The Faculty of Arts , Design & Architecture ( ADA ) at UNSW is rich in expertise , capabilities and facilities . Comprising six schools and seven research centres , we bring together diverse cross-disciplinary perspectives to confront today ’ s most pressing issues . However , our sheer size can be a barrier to connecting across our staff and student community . helps us navigate our diversity , making knowledge exchange and innovation more accessible .
The app has two interfaces – a traditional search field and a visualisation interface – that make it easier to identify areas of mutual interest and practice . Its sophisticated search function allows you to find potential collaborators and / or expertise . Its visualisations illustrate
Project
The ADA Collaboration Tool ( tACT ) is a sector-leading app that promotes interdisciplinary partnerships . It helps academics , professional staff and higher degree research ( HDR ) students connect and collaborate on research , teaching and other faculty operations and strategic initiatives .
