How to apply

Every application we receive is carefully considered and if you do
not meet the entry requirements for a particular program, you may
be offered a place in another program.
You can apply either directly following the steps shown below, at one
of the UNSW offices overseas, or through any of our authorised
representatives.

Decide on your preferred UNSW degree program and
UNSW Foundation Studies Stream and intake and/or
UNSW Institute Languages course and intake.
Complete the online application form at
apply.unswglobal.unsw.edu.au/ola and submit
it online along with your supporting documents.
Your application must include:
a. Your completed application form with attached documents,
such as passport;
b. Certified copies (with certified English translations) of your
school results www.ufs.unsw.edu.au/apply/certification-
document-guidelines.pdf; and
c. English Language test scores if required. IELTS and
TOEFL tests should have been taken within 12 months
of the course commencement date.
Note: A pdf paper form is also available if required and can be sent to
[email protected]. In the case of a paper-based form, our
Admissions team will normally reply to you within five working days of receiving
your application.

If your application is successful, you will receive a Letter of
Offer. Check the details in the offer carefully and make sure
you understand the Conditions of Enrolment.
You can accept the Letter of Offer by signing the
Acceptance Agreement form and Genuine Temporary
Entrant and Genuine Student Declaration (for international
students) form, and return it together with the payment receipt.
You can accept the offer and pay online at
payment.unswglobal.unsw.edu.au or submit the
documents and the payment receipt by email:

If you are an international student and under 18,
there are additional documentary requirements.

Now you are ready to get your visa (if required). Contact the
Australian diplomatic mission in your home country to make
arrangements for your travel and study in Australia.
Once that’s completed, you’re ready to make your way
to Australia. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Other important
enrolment information
Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC)
It is compulsory for international students on student
visas to have medical cover for the proposed duration
of their Student Visa, provided through one of the
approved Australian providers of the OSHC scheme.
This coverage can be arranged for you on enrolment
or you may organise it on your own.
Students who have children
(school-age dependents)
International students should note that all
school-age dependents who accompany them
must attend school whilst in Australia. School-age
dependents will be required to pay full fees if enrolled
in a government or non-government school.
