It works closely with organisations across the world , including the Volatility & Risk Institute at NYU Stern Business School , major regional research centres in the Asia-Pacific , and financial industry bodies and regulators .
These collaborative relationships produce research , joint publications , policy events and engagements on issues related to global prosperity , financial stability , governance and systemic risk . The 34th Australasian Finance & Banking Conference will be held in December 2021 , with the theme of Global Climate Change : Challenges and Opportunities . As part of the conference , and as a follow up to the COP26 in November , the IGF is organising an international forum to analyse and discuss various issues associated with climate change and climate finance , in light of the outcomes of the COP26 .
The keynote address at this forum will be delivered by Nobel Laureate Professor William Nordhaus from Yale University . He won his Nobel Prize in Economic Science in 2018 for his extensive research on climate change . Other contributors and speakers at the forum will include representatives from PwC and KPMG , the Head of Financial Stability from the Reserve Bank of Australia ( conference sponsor ), and senior managers of the Asian Development Bank .
The IGF will use this occasion to publish a policy-focussed book on climate change and climate finance , to be distributed to all key stakeholders .
