PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Eight courses (48 UOC) consisting of:
• 4 compulsory courses
• 4 elective courses
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A recognised Honours degree (with a research thesis)
in Economics with a Second Upper Class (2.1) or better,
as determined by UNSW Business School.
OR
A recognised Bachelor degree (or equivalent) majoring
in Economics with a minimum overall average of 70%
plus completion of second or third year courses in
microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and
mathematical economics at a minimum average grade
of 70%, as determined by UNSW Business School.
To be eligible for the program, you must have:
A recognised bachelor degree (or equivalent
qualification) with a credit average (65% or higher)
as determined by the UNSW Postgraduate Coursework
Entry Calculator;
AND
Substantial studies in intermediate level
microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics
as well as mathematical and statistical methods within
the bachelor degree;
AND
A graduate certificate in economics (equivalent to that
offered at UNSW Business School) with a minimum
overall average of 70%, as determined by the UNSW
Postgraduate Coursework Entry Calculator.

or higher), as determined by UNSW Business School.
OR
A recognised Bachelor degree (or equivalent) with
a credit average grade (65% or higher) plus completion
of intermediate level microeconomics, macroeconomics,
econometrics and mathematical and statistical methods
within the Bachelor degree, as determined by UNSW
Business School.

To articulate into the Master of Economics, you need
to have successfully completed the Graduate Certificate
in Economics, and achieved a minimum overall grade
of 70%. Courses completed are not transferable to the
Master of Economics.
