Poster Authors Jennie Cederholm has broad teaching experience including Physiology , Neuroscience and Pharmacology spanning over 15 years . In 2020 she was appointed to an Education-focused role in the Department of Physiology of the School of Medical Sciences . She engages with over 600 students each year across Science and Medicine and she has co-convened / convened four courses to date . She supports STEM-based education , in particular for young girls , and is the State Coordinator of the Australian Brain Bee Challenge .
Dr . Chelsea Goulton enjoyed the opportunity to gain teaching experience over a two-year period as an Associate Lecturer in the Department of Physiology , School of Medical Sciences . She has a PhD in Neuroscience and is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Psychology .
Richard is Deputy Head ( Teaching ) of the School of Medical Sciences , and responsible for 75 teaching academics and several hundred casual academic staff teaching over 5 000 students each year . He has fostered a collaborative culture of innovation and continual improvement in education . His inspirational teaching , using online resources , practical classes , and gamified experiences , was recognised with an Award for Teaching Excellence in 2017 .
Andrew Moorhouse is a passionate advocate for quality educational experiences in the Disciplines of Physiology and Neuroscience , engaging with over 1000 undergraduate students per year at UNSW Sydney and contributing to teaching innovations , curricula development and curricula review at UNSW , and more broadly across the Asian region . He brings research-informed expertise to his teaching practice via concurrent active participation in Neuroscience research , with over 50 publications , including in top journals like Nature and Nature Communications .
