Poster Authors Susann ’ s expertise lies in the areas of experimental and computational fluid dynamics and mechanics for personalised cardiovascular health considerations . Having a broad educational background spanning across mechanical , chemical and materials and biomedical engineering , her research and teaching encompasses several areas at the interface of medicine , imaging , engineering , and computer-sciences . Susann is a passionate teacher with a vision of enabling Australia ’ s next generation of health engineers .
Xinxing is a current PhD student studying the flow physics in 3D Bio-printed droplets . Her research topic covers both mechanical and biological area . Xinxing has a master ' s degree in mechanical engineering with background knowledge in micro-electromechanical systems , experimental and computational fluid dynamics . Xinxing has been the head demonstrator for two years in the course Micro- and Biofluidics .
Will is passionate about creating engaging education experiences that increase learning using retrieval practice and group learning . He has expertise in STEM education having worked in educational development in Engineering and Medicine , and expertise in teaching ecology , cell biology , molecular biology and general science in both university and high school settings . His research PhD focused on tracking plant cell shape development using custom software processing methods .
Danny is an Educational Developer from the Faculty of Engineering UNSW . He primarily works with academics to provide them with pedagogical consultation and advice especially in relation to utilising educational technologies and methods in their teaching . He also supports the design and development of learning solutions that facilitate opportunities for students to get the most out of their learning experiences .
Vivian is a current penultimate year undergraduate student under the Mechanical Engineering / Arts program . She was a student of Susann ’ s microfluidics class this year and undertook the virtual conference assessment module . She is interested in applying engineering , UX / UI design and fine arts skills to improving healthcare applications and creating interactive experiences .
