Challenge
By developing AI-based tools to provide visibility of supply chain risks, the team can offer associated solutions. It has also used systems models to assess supply chain vulnerabilities and produced managerial insights into information sharing and supply chain sustainability. Supply chain analytics are also used to inform the development of government policy.
Solution
The research aims to develop managerially relevant insights and solutions by blending ideas and methods from social science, computer science and engineering disciplines.

This UNSW Canberra multidisciplinary team blends social science, computer science and engineering concepts to develop and implement solutions to supply chain resilience and capability problems. It has worked with Defence, the Department of Industry, Science and Research, the Department of Education, the ACT Government and many private companies.
