Davenport admitted . “ My biggest limitation is the things that I have to move around and kind of crawl over . I ’ ve had to learn how to do what I always have done , but just in a much smaller space .”
But besides the medical issues the Air Methods Kentucky 3 Somerset team experiences on each flight , there are several factors that go into preparation for an on-scene flight . Paramedic Rudy Garrett explained the team ’ s routine to a very nonroutine job .
“ We come in and change at seven o ’ clock in the morning ,” Garrett stated . “ We go through our daily inspection of the aircraft , and then basically we ’ re here ready to fly . We come in ready fly , wearing flight boots , flight suit , and ready to go .”
