Volunteer Spreads Comfort at Baptist Health Corbin
With the help of her church , Frankfort Baptist Church , Brenda Ketron provides comfort items to our patients . She meets regularly with her church to sew little bears and dolls for the children .
If you go through the hospital surgery lobby , you will be greeted by Brenda Ketron , one of our volunteers . She always has a smile and a hug for everyone she meets . With the help of her church , Frankfort Baptist Church , Brenda provides comfort items to our patients . She meets regularly with her church to sew little bears and dolls for the children .
Her greatest reward is the smiles on the children ’ s faces as they hug their new bear or doll . She and her church members also make and anoint prayer cloths . These are given freely to any patient or a patient ’ s family that needs comforting .
Another part of Brenda ’ s ministry is to purchase little crosses to give out to those in need . She is always available to pray with you , hold your hand or just give you a big hug .
Brenda is a true treasure and Baptist Health Corbin is honored to have her as a volunteer .
