Celebrated explorer Lucy Shepherd travels across Tanzania’ s wildest, most unforgiving terrain on a brutal, two-month ultra-endurance expedition in a brand new three-part series.

From the remote Simanjiro District, through the lion-filled Maasai Steppe and the vast Rift Valley, Lucy and her team ascend high into the misty volcanic highlands, climb the impressive Mountain of Gods and experience the scorching salt flats of Lake Natron, during flamingo season.

Lucy is not there as an observer, but as part of the team. Together, they have to navigate extreme hunger, exhaustion, and the wild – but this isn’ t just her learning from the team; they are on a journey too, as explorers in a changing world.
