Race Across the World , the epic , hugely successful and much-loved BAFTA-winning show returns for a fourth series . Eastern Asia is this year ’ s route , and the five intrepid duos battle it out in a breath-taking , 15,000-kilometre race across multiple countries . From northernmost Japan , they cross six seas and eight borders , skirting the path of the volcanic ring of fire - the most geologically unstable region on the planet to reach the finish line in Lombok , an idyllic Indonesian island paradise .
Also available are two six-part celebrity versions of the much-loved series , which see four celebrities and their racing partners race to a finish line that ’ s thousands of kilometres away – without the use of air travel or any trappings of modern-day life . Stripped of all mod-cons and all luxuries they must rely on their skills , cunning , ingenuity , and hard work in order to succeed .
