Red Carpet: You can do no wrong with going back to the basics when it comes to a red carpet. When looking back on photos, you don't want to regret wearing that bright yellow against that red carpet. Going with a monochrome palette can actually bring out the dress even more by noticing how well someone can style something that seems so effortless and make it glamorous.

At Home: Pair a t shirt and jeans that are black on black or white on white and add mixed metals or even a pop of color with your lipstick. By keeping such a solid color all around, it makes as a great statement fit with such basic pieces.

The first trend was the timeless monochrome.

The second trend was metallic.

Red Carpet: You can almost do no wrong by wearing a metallic beaded dress to a red carpet event. What says glamour more than sparkle? By choosing a metallic or shimmer beaded gown, you add that extra pizazz to the carpet that could have been missing that night. The attention will be all on you, it makes a great statement piece and it keeps the styling to a minimum.

At Home: This trend can be emulated in your wardrobe in a couple ways. A great one is by adding that bit of shimmer to your everyday makeup with a great highlight or glitter shadow. You can choose to accessorize and not go so literally with glitter and use rose gold or silver jewelry,. Another option is that you can add a statement piece by wearing a bit of sparkle with your shoes or have a hint of glitter on your blouse.

The third trend was cut outs.
