Musical Style & Influence

Twenty One Pilots brings in a mix of piano, synthesizer drums, vocals, and occasionally a ukelele. Their songs are usually based off of poetry, and when the poetry is too long, Joseph will start rapping to fit the lyrics in.

Although most would consider the band alternative or punk pop, but many fans (and the band itself) consider the genre to be "Schizophrenic pop". (Source: Wikipedia)
