America’s well-known opioid epidemic has stripped more than 400,000 individuals of their lives and entangled over 2 million more in addiction (King, 2018). The media has downplayed the ongoing risks of the highly addictive prescription narcotics while simultaneously profiting from its spiraling misuse. The purpose of this study is to find out who community members think is responsible for the opioid crisis, the users, their doctors or pharmaceutical companies.
