Volume 1, Issue 2 Page 7 Book Review: Tales of the 23rd Precinct by Kevin Anglade Tales of the 23rd Precinct is an outstanding novel that will captivate readers interest unlike any other. The novel is well written and has a uniqueness about it that most novels don’t have today. Kevin Anglade wrote his compelling novel by building up his characters and showing the world who they are inside and out. This alone makes it one fabulous read that will never bore you as the characters find themselves within the plot. The three main characters are detectives. Deborah Lane, Luke Fisher, and Frank Matthews each go through their own journey of self discovery as the crimes and mysteries unfold. Suspense at every corner and a thrill that will keep readers reading all night long. I highly recommend Tales of the 23rd Precinct to every reader. The scenes are vibrant and the words come to life. A very intriguing story that everyone must read! Overall, I rate the incredible yet fascinating mystery suspense thriller a five out of five stars. Book Review: Midnight in Montmartre by Chloe Emile Midnight in Montmartre by Chloe Emile is the best romance novel I have read. Romance is in the air. Luc Deneuve is a Frenchman who is in love with one woman but then when the American woman named Mia Goldman comes to Paris to find her sister, both her and Luc fall in love. But, Luc can’t understand how he feels so deeply attracted to an American woman, who speaks bad French, laughs too loud and has the wildest of hair that he has ever seen on a woman. Will these two despite their different cultures come together and share a passion so deep and sizzling between them like sparks? Or will Luc ignore his new feelings of desire towards Mia and go with continuing to seduce Beth, his first love. Beth is the most desired woman, so why would any man including Luc want anyone else as his love? I found this novel to be the perfect read for the month of February. A hot romantic novel that will capture readers from all over. Funny, sweet, and who can resist hot foreign men in Paris? I rate it a five out of five stars. 7
